Christina became interested in the correctional system while spending 15 years working alongside individuals involved in the criminal justice system in her family fishing business, Set-Net Commercial Fisherman, in Kenai, Alaska. She pursued a degree in Human Services at the University of Anchorage Alaska and a certification for Corrections and Criminal Justice Systems from Kenai Peninsula College. After working as an administrative officer at Partners Reentry Center, Christina left to work with the Department of Corrections in both the Electronic Monitoring Unit and the Reentry and Transitional Services Unit. She ultimately returned to Partners in 2018 because she values the work done at the Reentry Center not only in providing services and referrals to those transitioning back to society, but also in the restorative benefits that it provides to our community in reducing recidivism and assisting with public safety. In her spare time, Christina enjoys seeing live music, beach-coming, and traveling.
